It speaks volumes that pretty much every team we've played has been happy to leave him free to receive the ball, safe in the knowledge that he'll almost certainly do nothing with it. This has allowed those teams to basically double up on Grealish and now Ndiaye on that side and also be poised to counter when it breaks down.

I've said a few times before in this thread, I don't want to get on his back, he seems like a good lad, but his deficiencies are becoming increasingly amplified. He still has a place in the team, when it's 10 men behind the ball or we need to do a shutdown job on a Salah / Saka type player for example. But for a game in which we are chasing a goal, he has to come out of the side for Aznou or even give McNeil a go at wing back.

He was left isolated at times last night, just as much as patterson was on the other flank tbh. But cant hear the moans about illiman being a lazy, cowardly so n so. Mykolenko is the best LB at the club. Not very goid going forward. But quite sound defensively. The whole teams performance in the 1st half was a disgrace. But he does seem to be a whipping boy for the booboys. And for those saying he should go to the Donbas, have you ever been in a war zone? Sh*thouse of a comment to make that.

However limited he is naturally, surely over the course of 4 years it is possible to train some attacking skills into a player when you have them at the training ground all week?

Like, if they said 'Ok Myko, we're going to stay behind for two hours every day to do NOTHING but work on your dribbling, your first touch, getting to the byeline and crossing' then surely by now we should have seen some improvement? How can it be possible to be a 26 year old professional footballer and show ZERO improvement in those skills over that period of time?

Maybe we should expect a bit of personal responsibility. 'I am very weak in this area and I am going to do whatever it takes to improve.'

I bet he's a really nice lad as well, just he's absolutely hopeless as a Premier League footballer. Actually you know it's bad when people start saying how nice of a person he is.
When his only redeeming feature as a footballer is that ‘he’s a nice lad’ its time to give up!

From his first game he has looked out of his depth…sadly were stuck with him till the summer.

Moyes won’t play Aznou and we aren’t bringing anyone in

But if the club give him a new deal its madness

Not great. He's just consistently average. He doesn't make loads of glaring errors but he makes a lot of low risk errors and sloppy play which sets us back a lot in terms of what we are able to do. Last night there was a point that he had a great opportunity to get in after a nice pass from Garner and he messed his touch up, and then a couple of minutes later he played a sloppy pass from the back which let Leeds counter. He's not the best technically and isn't physically up to the standard of the PL. Please upgrade him in the summer.

Its the crossing that does it for me, its so far off it. If you think of a similar profile player in Tony Hibbert, he worked at parts of his game like crossing and he became good at it. Some of Mykos crosses this season have been terrible and it wastes opportunities. He does do well defensively and that cant be disputed but he has to work on his productivity.

I'm not sure he's actually left footed

Its the not moving once he hasa tentively moved the ball on to a player inside or someone 5 yards away from him.

Once you give it you move......................its basic forward play, he just stands there like, that's my bit done
