2025/26 Vitalii Mykolenko

His ability to hit a ball down the left channel, with his left foot, and have it somehow go out for a throw always amazes me.

Unreal how many times possession is turned over within 5 seconds of the ball leaving his foot. Just basic balls down the line (out of play).

No wonder Grealish just doesn't look for him as the odds are the ball will be turned back over to the opposition

….yep, his attitude is fine, he seems a good bloke but he’s just not on the same wavelength as the proper footballers in the team. It’s a waste, it really is.

Second half grind was made for him. Him and Grealish up against Mbeumo and Diallo, don't dive in, just concentrate, defend properly.

It’s a skill that’s far too easily overlooked by some of our own fans. As though positionally perfect defending one on one v the best PL wingers is just a given for any full back and they’re straight on to slamming his offensive play for not being a prime Leighton Baines.

His defensive game is absolutely excellent. He blocks crosses, block shots, defends crosses to the back post. There’s so many pl fullbacks who can’t even do those basics correctly but they get an assist every ten games that make it onto much of the day and they’ll machine goes into overdrive e.g Kerkez.

Hes a good defensive LB but hes not good enough for anything other then a relegation battling side in the PL.

We need fast attacking fullbacks to do anything other then mid table mediocrity
