2025/26 Vitalii Mykolenko

Except it’s not only Moyes is it?

It’s a succession of managers who have seen themselves sacked rather than not persist with this abomination of a player

Why?

No I agree, the difference is all of those other managers had their hands tied financially. So they weren’t in a position to take a loss on selling the player, and we would undoubtedly have taken a big lose because the guy is garbage.
We haven’t even attempted to seek a replacement though. I mean Anzou should obviously be playing and that he isn’t actually raises more questions about this clowns presence

Heard Zelensky has a hotline to the board and he leans on them.
Mate we are chucking billions at his regime unquestioned I wouldnt think supporting the cause by buying a player and sticking with him is an extreme leap

Are you suggesting it’s impossible for political pressure to be placed on clubs operating in a multi billion pound global business ? I would think quite the opposite

As far as I know there aren’t any bans on Russian players in the premier league - how come none now make any move ?

You are David Icke and I claim my £5

Moyes didn’t really sign fullbacks in his first spell. It was pretty much Baines and then he took a punt on Coleman but took a few years to play him. He did like to play centre half’s in those roles and he certainly liked Pistone. I’d be shocked if he hasn’t resigned Myklenko as his first choice full back. Sums up his approach.

Fair points.

One thing I'd say is that if Moyes does keep the status quo in defence and he'll have a sufficient squad size and depth - seeing as he rarely rotates...

...how does he spend another £100mil+ this summer?

….he’s turned a young Jake O’Brien into a PL regular despite having little or no PL experience
We have the second oldest starting lineup in the premier league behind only the other squad built by David Moyes and you are using the playing of a 24 year old (25 next week) as blooding a youngster?

You may find it boring, Eggs, but if you're going to call a 24 year old a youngster then people are going to point out that you are disingenuous. For the record, I find it incredibly boring when you bring up Max Aarons and Chermiti every time you engage with @Zatara like it's some sort of epic wheeze but I guess we all have our bugbears. Yours are Zatara and any criticism of Moyes and mine are people who treat managers like cult leaders. Takes all sorts to make a world.

Rightfully deserving of a contract extension. A decent player for our current ambitions. Would be nice if we get a luca netz or someone to challenge his position.

Should he? Barring 10 mins vs Sunderland, he has looked poor in the few mins he has had
