Vellios or Anichebe.

Sell Anichebe today. Call Wigan and offer him up and take that cash (a King's ransom to be certain!!!) and go get Donovan and let the Fap Festival begin.

They're both ****.

Anichebe, built like a brick ****house, he should be battering defenders everywhere. You could forgive his lack of skill if he showed some desire considering the size of him. But at the end of the day he spends more time on his arse and I think he his a confidence player.

Vellios, i'm sorry he just doesn't cut it for me. I've seen enough of him to knwo he ain't going to make it in the big time. He's not strong enough on the ball, his distribution and awareness his awful and he runs like a tart. He's played to many games were he looks like a dear caught in the headlights.

Vic is a better player, but like i said they're both ****

Anichebe is the one player I genuinely dislike in our squad, I would play Mcfadden in front of him.. AVM annoyed me less, at least he wasn't on the field to make us worse.
Vellios has done nothing to agitate me the way Anichebe does, I can't explain it but there is something fundamentally wrong with someone of his size and strength falling over at the slightest breeze when he should be running his arse off and barging people out of the way.
What's worse is when he goes down then punches the ground like he gave his all but it wasn't quite enough it's just embarassing.
Or worst of all when he's got the ball but he's given up trying, so he barely runs, gets taken down like a lion takes down a gazelle, when in fact it should be like a fish slapping a bear cos he's twice the defenders size and once the ball is lost he shrugs his shoulders, and opens his arms as if asking.. what could I have possibly done about that?
Still at least after the bitter nightmare that was not being able to stand up without falling over his own shadow, the years wage he brings home every week should help to inspire him to a better jump on the floor and more despairing look of dejection next game.
Velios is better for me, if only because I havn't seen enough of him to dispair when he's warming up.

Vic put a lot of effort at staying on his feet last season and lo and behold because of that he actually scored a few. Hopefully he's learned. Velios needs more of a run. He was pretty lousy as a starter (granted he only had a couple starts) but as a sub he created quite a few chances in the short amt of time he was in. If we weren't so thin on strikers I'd like to see him loaned out to a Championship team as he probably needs more exp. I'd be patient with him and keep him around. big strikers like Velios peak late in their 20s, he's going to get better, hopefully much better.

Hope so mate, no problem with him at all, in fact he scored several a few seasons back before being removed from the team I would be happy to see him get a run in the team.. if we didn't have Jelavic that was.

I'm sure Vic will improve this season if he stays fit, as for Vellios I would rather loan him to a Premier League team like Reading, Championship football won't do him much good

I think Anichebe has it in his locker to be a good player but his attitude stinks. From what I hear about Vellios he doesn't like to put a shift in but he seems to be a bit of a 'Jonny on the spot', lets give him a bit of time though before writing him off.

Anichebe played well last season tbh, give him one last chance next season - pretty sure it's been said before but if we have someone like Jelavic scoring then Anichebe can be given a lesser role to try and chip in more like last season.

Vellios should be loaned out for 3-6 months imo to get some real experience because he's not ready just yet

Anichebe seems to be given chance after chance and last year Velios hit the ground running getting a few goals and then suddenly he was dropped. I'm sure something happened behinds the scenes or maybe Moyes was trying to keep Velios' feet on the ground.

Push came to shove at this present time would have to start Vic over vellios.

Ideally could do with loaning vellios out and bringing in our own loan backup striker.

Personally would love to bring Donovan in and use Naismith and Donovan as back up to jelavic if the worse happened. Spain don't need a big lump up front and just to cover a injured jelavic nor should we but Vic would be on hand for such occasion.

Yeah I thought he played well too. He needs to stay injury free and then he can be judged properly.

That said if a decent offer came in for him I would be happy for him to go.

Spain have brilliant players though to back up their lack of a striker...
