Vellios or Anichebe.

I do think what Kevin Nolan did to Anichebe has ****ed him up. He really wasnt a bad player before he got snapped and now look at him.

Anichebe has the power and a decent finish, just think Vellios has a better tactical awareness, neither are really bad, just not good enough really, think Vellios has a better shout at a breakout season though

This.

How about both?...

How about neither??

Vic is not as bad as people make out...
Vellios is not as good as people make out...

IMO the best scenario for us would be selling Vic and loaning out vellios who does look very promising but.. Is No where near ready for leading our front line at this present time!

people say loads of crap they are both good

Vic was at the vellios stage in terms of getting on the pitch in 2007 , so vellios needs more games and time to fully compare side by side

This is not a Victor bashing, but I personally think apocalypse Vellios will turn out to be the better player in the long run.

And my wife says he's 'dishy'

Think given playing time Vellios would be amazing, as good as Anichebe is he loses interest when things aren't going his way (he stops running for the ball, throws in clumsey challenges etc). Vellios never drops his head but needs more playing time to improve.

We have what we have. After Pienaar there won't be anyone else, fairly confident of that. So they will have to do.

I'm fairly confident we will see at least 1 more after pienaar. No doubt will be a free/loan and my guess is it will be another striker.

People seem to enjoy writing our players off for some reason, I like both players but if I had to choose one I'd pick Vellios but that doesn't mean Anichebe can't be useful either. Anichebe has all the assets to become a good premiership striker, all he needs is a bit more stamina and to get rid of his petulant attitude of his and he could easily become a 10+ goal per season striker. Vellios has really impressed me from what I've seen of him, he's good at holding the ball up, he's no slouch in pace terms, he always wants to get in the box when the time is right and he has a great header on him; I can see great things happening with Vellios and with Jelavic and big Dunc around the training ground to learn from he could become a great target man in time.
