Vaughan Fit Again(?)

Vaghan is one if not one of the most talented youngsters in England, hes better then the likes of Agbonlhor etc.

Hes an Everton Legend in waiting he has so many positive componets to his game it scares me of how good he can become, i drool over thougtht of four year time and we could have a strikeforce of Baxter and Vaughan.

Vaghan was one of the biggest reasons we got into the Ufa cup season before lad, my abiding memory is of blood pumping out of his boot at the Reebok! We are a funny bunch we give out about players, showing a lack of commitment and those that do we give out to for being injured all the time!

Can we sto slagging of the injured players as well thats Arteta, Vaghan, Cahill and Baines after getting a pasting latlely!

Cant agree with most of that. Vaughan is overrated by many an evertonian. He will never be an everton legend as he isnt talented enough and is never fit anyway. As for vaughan being 1 of the main reasons we were in uefa, based on what?

Based on the fact Johnson got injured at Wigan and we all [Poor language removed] ourselves wondering who was going to score goals in the run in, step forward young Vaghan.

Theres alot of things i am unsure about mate but Vaghan isnt one them.

A whole 3 you mean? Aj scored just as many in the run in as did Arteta. So really dont know where your coming from

Mate i think we had the same debate back in March, i was impressed by the goals, but also his comitment tenacity, movement and dedication he wanted that shirt and bad.

To compare a players performence to similar feats as Arteta and Johnson is all right in my book especially if their 18 and have no priemership expierence.

To summise i think hes ace, you think hes gash, I can live with that!

Different debate lad, you said he was major responsible for us getting uefa, am still waiting for your reason behind it. I dont think he is gash just not great

Just looked at it again neiler, he was responsible for 2 points in that run in, draw at chelsea and bolton. His other goal came right at the end of the game against fulham when we won 4-1

I agree with your view on Vaughan Neiler. He has no weaknesses to his game, if you don't get excited when you see this guy play - do me a fabor a check your pulse, because you might be dead :D

If he stays injury-free I'll bet you that he will be in the England squad within a year.

Just imagine him and Yakubu leading the line. Both pacey, powerful and with a poacher's eye for goal. He's the sort of player that when he receives the ball near goal, you expect him to score - I just don't get that feeling with AJ.

IMO he's not overrated at all, he just happens to be one of best kept secrets in the PL. Young, Agbonlahor etc. all get the credit they deserve because they play regularly - the same will come to Vaughan. I just pray that we will be able to keep hold of him when he first gets going.

I beleive he was, he added a tenacity, goals and verve to a team that was begining to fade and fall apart with injuries, again we missed Cahill toward the end of that season as we did this, the difference was i belive Vaghan, would you at least concedede his goals and tenacity had a huge influence on getting there, beyond what i would expect from an 18 year old with little Prem expierence, you compared his contrbution to Arteta and Johnson.

Im not saying im right, im saying its what i beleive. I beleive he will be in an Everton legned because i believe he has the quality, i also believe he wants that shirt badly. I have seen what some players can do on commitment alone but i beleive Vaghan has the quality.

What would he have to do to convince you, become the youngest ever goal scorer in Prem history or something?

His goals yeilded just 2 points neiler so no i wouldnt concede that. Cahill was the big loss as he was again at the end of this yr. I actually think his tenacity is his downfall as in he isnt level headed and goes headfirst into a challenge and comes off worse. He must think he is Big Vic in the way he goes into a challenge
Didnt his goal come from 2 yds or something after it was basically laid up on a plate and the whole of the G.S sucked it to banish the memory of that fat boy from down the m/way?

Nah mate didnt he score in the win away to Villa, at Chelsea and Bolton (which was a massive game), I remeber him latching on to a ball carrying it for a bit and sticking it away it was a bit fortitous though. Do you not see promise to do so much at 18 with little expierence or game time come to think of it.

You know how this one ends mate we're not going to agree, and theres a movie i wanna watch on telly at ten, and company alot more comfortable then this chair im sitting on waiting for me!

Which movie?

Vaughan's an excellent prospect. There's not question about it despite what HB thinks. Look his goals to game record, 7 goals in 8 starts. So we can see that the only thing holding him back is injury problems. Once he gets past them he will revel.

He has all the attributes to be a top centre forward at Everton. Pace, strength, aerial ability, intelligence and a eye for goal. He has alot going for him.

It's not just his goals that have impressed me though. I think I've only seen him have one bad game and that was against Oldham last season. In every other game he's played very well and has given us another dimension. He occupies centre halfs and he doesn't give them a minute's rest. He's also played in some big games and has accuitted himself well.

Quality player, excellent lad with lots of potential. Hopefully he gets over his injuries.

I rate him highly as a young striker he is talented and know where the goal is, and he score goal fo almost everytime he comes on, hope he could stay fit for us this season.

We are still short in the midfield area so we could do without the the striker department having the same problem, we did need another defender if Hibbert is out of the beginning of the season!
