Bruce Wayne

Player Valuation: £100m
It was interesting to compare the two young lads last night and how they played together. The one thing that struck me more than anything was the difference in composure. I never thought I'd say this but Anichebe showed some nice awareness on the ball last night and seemed to know when to play others in. Vaughan on the other hand was a bit of a headless chicken, trying to do things on his own.

I think the lad has tremendous natural ability but needs to contain his enthusiasm. If he can do that he'll cut out the kamakaze nature of his tackling and hopefully show greater awareness of others around him. It's perhaps telling that Anichebe has more of this side to his game having played more in Europe last season. Hopefully we'll get past Liege in Belgium and the exposure will allow Vaughan to develop mentally too.

Vic has positively surprised me in the last two games - could it be that his traits - pace and strength - is more suited on the right side as a winger. He reminds me of Kilbane - just with pace, and his link-up play with Yak is very good.

Vaughan is still the real deal to me. Yesterdays game was not an easy one to come into from the bench, so that might explain why his contribution was limited. Vaughan has it all IMO, and will be Yak's regular partner within half-a-year if he is injury-free.

Anichebe is becoming a rock solid premiership player.

Vaughan needs more 1st team games. That run he did though with 5 Liege players around him and he still had the ball was exciting to see....he still should've laid it off earlier to Arteta on the left though.

As Moyes said Vaughan has missed alot of technical work, he'll need to catch up in that area. He's also only just coming back from injury, he's going to look very rusty.

Victor has improved technically despite what people say, his touch and awareness have come on leaps and bounds. He'll never be amazing but he has the ability to be a good Premier League striker.

Vaughan is the better player, I have no doubts about that to be honest. When there both at the same level fitness wise we'll see that. Victor is coming on nicely though, it's about time he got some praise.

I enjoyed watching Vic last night, it's interesting to see him as a wide player. He will give some prem defenders a problem or two. Jamie Vaughan just had a rush of effluant to the brain but as with Vic european experience will help him out. 2-0 to us in the next leg(y)

Vic is turning into a really reliable player but the season is long. Hes played a lot of football this year too, but he looks great presently.

Vaughan is the dogs though you can see the talent coming out of his ears, undoubtedly still raw due to the injuries but will be a star of the future "that run" was awsome!

I think Anichebe was on song last night mate, but Vaughan was just simply trying too hard. Vaughan imo is still the better player in every respect other than physical presence.
It was obvious Vaughan was trying as hard as he could to get his name on the European scoresheet like his best mate Vic did many times last season. He was going up for headers that were clearly meant for Cahill, on more than one corner too.

Anichebe deserved some applause last night though. He did the job that was asked of him quite well I thought.

Well Anichebe the past 2 matches has showed what he can do. I think he is teh type of player who plays on Confidence, and atmosphere, for example is he makes a mistake early on in hte match, or some fans get annoyed with him, his whole match will be bad...But still he is young, and you would expect that. He has great pace, good passing, good strength, and last night his touch seems to have improved. However i think his shooting needs practice. When he has time to shoot, or think about it, like all of his goals he finished great. But if he needs to have a first time shot he isnt too good...just look at Wigan last year - almost missed an open goal!!

Vaughan - well he has less strength, more pace, and is like a wild dog. Chasing after the ball everywhere, and with some form and confidence he can be brilliant. I think he just needs to become abit more aware of his surroundings (eg: players making runs etc...) and abit more composed.

I love them both, they are the strikers on my Footy manager Team in 2010 :). I just want them to play together, i think they do it well, seeing as they have played together for years. Just look at when they did against Portsmouth (3-0) - great partnership.

Spot on.

He took the ball off Cahill's head twice last night. I know who i would rather be on the end of those.

He didn't, I watched the game again and Cahill should have left it for Vaughan. The one with the better leap should have been on the end of those crosses, that was James Vaughan.

Yes, but not only that, when he was making his run down the center, Yakubu was in miles of space on the left!, but he didnt look up, nad eventually lost the ball...good run though :)

big vic is a wee bit more polished than vaughn but thats due to vaughns injury.... if we can keep him fit for the season he will be an amazing young player
