VAR

The difference in those was that nothing was given by the on field referee. Here the on field referee makes the right call, and var finds a way to change his mind going against regulations.

That’s the big thing .

If he didn’t give it then fair enough , everyone unlucky yet again

But ….

Once it is given they should be nowhere near it

This incident has actually convinced me that it is being used to sway the outcomes of games

The reason being is they manipulate the rules to be able to do it whatever way they want .

They are most likely lawyers …

The way they did it was that the foul was given for a trip by Maguire … so they take that literally … and only investigate Maguire contact and only use the one angle .

The question should have been … is this a penalty ?

They could have said to him … to review the Maguire incident and then while he’s there also tell him to look at the angle of de ligt..

They cleverly use the dialog to get the outcome they want …. That what they said anyway.

However … I was watching TNT and the commentator was saying “they are asking him to look at the pull from de Ligt” he said … “ we have the benefit of hearing the VAR”

However this was not used in the explanation by VAR…

I don’t know why they are swaying games … and they can’t fix them all… but there are plenty of times and moments when they are presented with the opportunity and they take it every time.

If we were 2-0 up that pen is given … not a doubt in my mind .

I'm not taking a rise out of you when I say: It's called cheating in plain sight. Plain to see. Outwith our club, the first game of the 23/24 season - ManUre v. Wolves. Last minute, score 1-0. Onana absolutely demolishes the Wolves player, getting nowhere near the ball. You know the outcome. No penalty. Nowadays, the game stinks, because officials on the pitch and in the VAR room cheat continually on behalf of SKY's sacred financial cows. We all know who they are.

I have said on here before, it needs owners and CEOs of clubs to call the officials cheats, and then tell the FA that they can urinate up a rope if they think they can fine them, or stop them going into their grounds. Until that happens, nothing is going to change.
Everton are part of problem, you can complain all you want, but unless you just call out blatant corruption nothing is going to change. Before VAR bad referees could be punished. Now ref can blame VAR officials, VAR officials blame referee. Zero accountability.
