It’s not the technology, it’s the referees who won’t use their own judgment who oversee it. The FA appoint them for matches so the bias and match results is all down to them.

It would be impossible fir them to use var to run the script if the referees had their mike broadcast. It would expose the pantomime straight away.Needs to be more clarification/transparency with VAR or it should be sacked off. Can’t stand it
It was barely OK in the last WC - which gave them the idea.
Well ok I thought but they have to tweak it a bit...make it better
So they did.
But they made it worse, really, really, worse.
It was going to solve almost everything. We were all better off without it.It was tolerable in the World Cup because it was barely used. The times it was used it ruined the match (like the final).
Accept it doesn't work and give more help/training/support for referees. It's ruined the Premier League.
I don't mind it for overturning howlers but the one time this season it was actually needed (the Sheff U goal) it wasn't used, yet you're waiting 5 minutes to see if someone's toe nail was offside after goals.
I can summarise that for you mein frandel-It can never work for football no matter how many tweaks they make, due to the number of 50/50 decisions that can never be reviewed during the course of the game.
Imagine a game where every decision is going to the home team. Their centre back is climbing all over the away teams centre forward, and pulling his shirt every time the ball goes into him, and nothing is given. Meanwhile in midfield the home teams centre mid is doing the same. And at the other end of the pitch the home teams centre forward keeps backing into the centre back, using his elbows all over the place, controlling the ball with his hand and nothing is given.
None of the above can be reviewed by VAR because the game is still flowing.
Then in the last minute the away team finally get in the box and score to put them 1-0 up. It is reviewed by VAR and is disallowed for being a clear 2 yards offside.
The "correct" decision has actually been given this time, but has it made the game fairer? No.
