Current Affairs Utter, utter scum.

I was once against the Police being heavy handed, or indeed school teachers dishing out punishment but there has to be some sort of deterrent for these filth. They fear nothing.

It's just not surprising though is it? The country is full of small minded knobheads who are given a platform and empowered by social media and the like. If you don't fit neatly in to these peoples sexist, racist and xenophobic views you are attacked or told to go back to your own country. Seriously this country is an utter disgrace from top to bottom.
I don't know where you live, but I don't recognise your description of this country being full of violent hate filled people attacking others on a whim. Sure there's a minority that would suit your description, but in my experience the vast majority of people are normal and law abiding.

Most people in America don't shoot up the place yet everybody knows America has a serious gun problem. Most people don't do the things described in this thread but here we are sitting in 2019 with Brexit looming, Trump is president of the USA and our own government frequently makes moves to attack the most vulnerable people in the country.

It's not everybody of course but we have an empathy problem.

Not everybody in London goes around knifing people, yet everyone knows London has a serious knife problem. But most sensible people know that it has nothing to do with Brexit, Trump or the government of the day, but rather on a small minority of ne'er do wells who don't care for their fellow man. It is totally wrong to paint the whole country as some sort of out of control wilderness based on the actions of a small minority of sociopaths.

It's our culture in general. Sensible people voted against their own best interests because they got taken in by the lies of self serving knobheads(Nahh mate save the NHS, nothing to do with the immigrants lad). The few will always ruin it for the many. Sensible people voted for Nigel Farage, sensible people (questionable) followed Tommy Robinson and sensible people are sensible until they aren't. My point wasn't about one specific incident it's about how our society as a collective enables this sort of behaviour how we enable our government to constantly take free hits at our most vulnerable. I'd bet that straight after the Brexit result we saw a rise in hate crimes, I might be wrong but I can see that empowering people.

We can't just keep rolling out the ''Not all people!!'' argument and expect anything to change. Just like how it's ''Not all the Police'' every time a minority in America is shot up because he deffo HAD A GUN.

Well you're entitled to your opinion but, at the end of the day, it's only your opinion. You are obviously anti Brexit, anti Farage, anti Robinson and believe that just because other people (millions of other people) don't share your view the whole of society is going to hell in a handbasket. Well I'm sorry to have to tell you but it isn't all about YOU, everyone is entitled to their opinion and in my opinion we still live in one of the most civilised societies (albeit with many faults) on the planet. If you really think that this country is so bad then your options are many. Stay here and run for government, stay here and live with what we have or go somewhere that shares your values. I don't understand this idea that the EU referendum result somehow "empowered" people to become violent thugs and racists. The violent thugs and racists were already here and feeling empowered, and for some reason we keep importing other countries' racists to add to our own.

Strangely, no criticism whatsoever of the London Mayor about this, it's his London, has been for the last 3 years. You can't keep blaming Tory cuts for everything bad that happens when these lads clearly thought they could could do this and get away with it. And those bizarrely blaming Trump, the lads who did this don't get their values from an orange man 5000 miles away. British society needs to take a good, hard look at itself. The self entitlement people have, the hate people have for anyone who disagrees with them, you see it all over social media. Society relies on fundamental principles to function, when you hammer away at those (stuff like mutual respect and decency), you get anarchy. The UK isn't far off that

Any self respecting Evertonian should be all three. We've seen our fair share of knobheads and swindlers so should be able to spot them with ease. That being said you are right in that things aren't as bad as I made out, it's a minority but it's always the minority that have the loudest voices. As for my options? I'd rather just sit on my ass, have a power wank and have a moan. Be arsed knocking on peoples doors asking them to vote whilst getting cups of piss thrown at me.

It's got nothing to do with Sadiq Khan, has it? I like to think I lead my life in a reasonable way, but Khan doesn't have any influence on my (hopefully) positive behaviours, so why would I blame him for any negative behaviours I exhibit?
