Dunno mate, ask esk I'd say, he owns Everton shares, strange that he thinks others wouldn't do what he himself has done.
May be an interesting business topic for a paid podcast service, if only Everton fans had someone doing those...
lol

Nobody males money, unless a nation fabricates it as quantitative easing. The phrase "making money" is used to sanitise, and make sociably acceptable, the utterly selfish concept of "collecting money" for one's self.Profit money.
You see, when you sell something for more than you pay for it, you make money. That is money to be made.
What, apart from when it was part of the Soviet Union? He was born in Uzbekistan to uzbek parents, Uzbekistan isn't and never has been Russia mate.
As goat pointed out, Moshiri invested 80m and took out 200m odd when he sold them. Massive profit. Their share price is also going up and upWhilst you are correct, in the end, its an investment. But I would seriously doubt that there is a company on the planet that has a 30% shareholder with zero influence at board level. That was kind of his point, like you say, as a business man.
But a strategic investor, happy to lob god only knows how much at a near as can be guaranteed cash cow, yeah, I could see that. Small pond to be fishing in though.
It gets them massive profits the same way Moshiris made him 120m on his 80m investment.Have to disagree, so some buggar can go round saying I own 30% of Arsenal shares, so what it gets them diddly squat.
If you had the dosh would you but the shares in those circs????
Splitting hairs probably, but Wiki states he was Russian born in Uzbek which was a former Soviet republic, but I take your point, blue.
I agree it’s the Fail reporting, but was struck by the minister vanguarding this - Ian Austin - who was a minister under the former Labour government. There’s no way a Tory would be forcing the issue as to them, money is money, no questions asked.
Still, a crackdown of this nature - if it came to fruition - might have implications for us.
What, apart from when it was part of the Soviet Union?
You say Uzbekistan isn't and has never been Russia. A couple of hundred years of world history disagrees with you.Russia us a separate country.
Uzbekistan is a separate country.
The Soviet union was a union of these many countries.
An easier example for you, being part off great Britain doesn't mean someone born in northern Ireland to Irish parents is English.
By all means though mate go to Kiev and start calling them all Russians, likewise go Belfast and start calling them all English, let us know how that works out...

Here's an easy example for you from BBC world countries profiles:The country spent most of the past 200 years as part of Russia, and then the Soviet Union, before emerging as an independent nation in 1991.

Well, one post, using bizarre and unrelated hypothetical heritage scenarios.Great posts providing equally great debate.
Everton Business Matters is a free pod cast.
Arsenal shares are worth 34k each. If he put his share up he would sell them, Kroenke would buy them tomorrow. Just don’t think he would sell to Kroenke
Scratching my head at some of the comments in this thread from people trying to define the rationale of a shareholder...
Comparing Usmsnov to pension funds and investment cos? One group has a million customers to serve and the other is a boundlessly rich megalomaniac.
Suggesting that our resident George Soros - the esk - holds Everton shares only to make money, just like any other 'common' share (Facebook, Google) ?
A shareholder takes an individual decision. It can be strategic, tactical, to make money, to frustrate an adversary, or just for sentimental reasons. There doesn't have to be a profit motive - even if it turns out that a profit is made. And a shareholder can have multiple different reasons for holding multiple different shares.
It's a big wide world out there - trying to put everyone into the same box makes no sense.

But then an actual great post, using cold hard facts, stats and analysis.
(The ones liking his posts are as much to blame to be fair, they only encourage him.)
I seek not compliments nor recognition. I only seek to bring truth and wisdom to the unenlightened.I was with you all the way until this ungracious reply to a compliment.
Part of debate is compromise and recognising the other point of view.
