Not sure an external company as you say would be putting the type of money in that we hope an Usmanov company can.
To be challenging the top in the sponsorship stakes it would need to be aka 40 mil pa.
Cant see us getting anywhere near that.

Think both those figures are way off personally, be shocked if we break 20m.

The interesting part here is what we will be seeing now is actually how patient our owner(s) are. They would have obviously hoped for some natural progression (Europe) to boost the coffers away from their own funds, so to be able to bring in the players Ancelotti wants or more importantly for us can attract then I guess we will need a big jump to pay for it.

I don't think we would have canned the SportsPesa deal early if we were thinking of only a sub 5m increase. They have obviously identified that there would be a shortfall next season without significant player sales so have opened up this avenue to ensure we comply. We can only hope that player targets have been sounded out and they roughly know how much we'll need to balance the books. All that sounds like how an accountant would run a club.

My thoughts are that this deal could actually reduce if we make a European spot for next season as the extra income will offset what we require, but if not I could see it being 16-17 million for an outside company and 30 million if it's in the USM umbrella like MegaFon. The higher that figure the more it will show that they are ready to throw off the shackles to start to compete.

A manager they have faith in and with a record to prove he can deliver

Just keep sponsoring stuff that nobody else has sponsored, there's no market value established on sponsoring piss pots, they can't argue that 34 million a season for having usm branded piss pots is above market value, if we are the first ones to do it then we've set the market value.

Or just back date some sort of benefits we didnt even know we were receiving until now. Because that worked so well for PSG.
