Firstly clubs just ask extortionate prices that we can't afford anyway (see Zaha as an example) and secondly if you do splash the cash then clubs know you've got it anyway, even if they don't know where from.

They don't invalidate it, no. They just make it rather irrelevant.
If you pay as much money out as we have recently then prices go up, because clubs know you've got money. They also know that you have to abide by FFP and still have players you want to get rid of, so there's a limit as to how much they can try to fleece you regardless of how rich you are.

Is Usmanov doesn't have a connection with the club, there is no reason why he is meeting multiple managers, past and present.
It only makes sense if he has an interest or involvement. But yes, he's going to buy Newcastle or Charlton, or AC Milan, or never sell shares in Arsenal or whatever else.
