Ok who did this?

I bear no ill to Usmanov, but how Everton would it be for him to suffer an untimely death just as we were about to receive funds beyond our wildest dreams?

I have just stumbled upon this thread, but I haven't got the forebearance to read through 64 pages.

Can anyone please summarise for me?

As an aside, I would be delighted if Mr Usmanov joined our board. He is a man of great business acumen and intellect.

Die Hard was on last night

Moomin conviced the mainstream media Usmanov did not exist and was a elaborate ruse created by Kopite will alone

People lost their minds

From the echo
"The deal forms part of the two-pronged £75m windfall chief executive Robert Elstone revealed at Wednesday night's General Meeting, with a new shirt sponsorship deal forming the second aspect of the deal.

Everton have not disclosed how much the USM contract is worth but some early estimates suggest it will see the club bank around £20m over the course of the five years."

In other words we have no idea.

"Some early esitmates" could just be total guessword by Joey the mail lad.

Usmanov doesn't own any part of Gazprom now, but the chairman was his appointee and protege, if they sponsor us in any way shape or form it's a nasdivecsignal on intent from him, as his fingerprints will be all over it as it'd mean 100% he has called in a favour.
It could mean that Moshiri has called in a favour.

It's a bit mad sponsoring a training ground so for me it looks like circumnavigating the FFP rules. City style.

It does now prove a direct commercial link in Everton between Moshiri and Usmanov. Seems WRD1878 was right.

Wrd, isn't one who makes stuff up really mate from what I've seen, oh and only training ground in the country with a sponsor does that make us?

I wonder how Arsenals shareholders and board feel about this? The fact he's basically investing in and strengthening a rival via his companies.

Is this being discussed on Arsenal forums anywhere.

Is there even a decent Arsenal forum as I can't find one.

It's the first holding club to sponsor a Premier League club mate. How much sustainable exposure do you think they get from changing Finch Farm's name?

A differing argument would be that this now perhaps prohibits Usmanov buying shares at Everton for the period of this commercial agreement as it would contrivene PL laws.

But it wouldn't as we don't own finch farm mate, so it would pass the tests as those rules would apply to moshiri as well as a shareholder in usm.
