Usmanov

Don't disagree. Either way though it's a murky world. I'm not getting all moral high ground by the way, as someone suggested earlier. Just saying: know what you're getting into. Things can backfire - especially, as you suggest, when the stakes here are so high for us (club and fans), but probably no more than a pimple on his backside.

All his faults etc, one thing Usmanov is for sure is sports mad. As an owner he'd be absolutely massive for whatever team he owned.

Would it be the same Everton under him, nope, the club would change an untold amount, but in realist terms, it either changes or eventually dies, right now we've become almost insignificant so guess the answer is if you want the club to stay loyal to its roots or evolve.

42 Arsenal shares sold today.
Doesnt sound much.....but equates to £1.5 m
Who bought.....but more importantly, who sold?

think it was only 3 actually mate, at least thats what i saw, and sold for 28k a piece, which is apparently the amount Korenke/Usmanov value the shares at.

BTW if Usmanov paid as stated 200m for Moshiris shares, they in the space of 18 months have increased to a worth of around 265m already...

I can’t remember 95 I am 28 I am tired of being plucky Everton.
Understand your position, but this is the way football is going....going to take at least 5 years to reach the 'top 6 or 4 "or whatever sky decide.....and that's even with a billionaire in charge...I hate the underdog tag because I am fortunate to be old enough to remember the time when we were top dogs....the club has to have more ambition full stop.

My understanding is that he's got to sell them all at the same time to the same person/entity? Might be 100% wrong.

then again i wouldnt draw anything in that, as 3% of the club is owned by small shareholders, so there is around about 1800 or so shares floating around which aren't owned by either Kroenke or Usmanov

probably Sanchez got shares as part of the deal when he joined

He would change the club in a way similar to that of Abramovich at Chelsea. Doesn't seem to have done them too much harm with a Russian oligarch as they have lifted trophy after trophy, murky past or not. The competition is more fierce now and it would put us in a top 4 of super powers with Chelsea, Man U and Man City.
LFC, Spurs and Arsenal would be outside of that group under their current ownerships in terms of sheer wealth and spending power. I am not going to get excited about Usmanov taking over directly at Everton as I think he is already here via Moshiri. Cannot see why he would place all his eggs in one basket at Everton when he can have an interest in 2 clubs that could win trophies (if they ever get their acts together.) Hope I am wrong but I would imagine his support of Arsenal as a fan & his ability to make money from his current investment would stop him from ploughing everything into the once mighty Toffees. If not then it is the power struggle with Kroenke that that will send him to Goodison where he could actually exert his influence on the team and Board.

Imagine the positive feeling and euphoria amongst the fanbase if he bought into us. This last season has been hell the whole club/fanbase and staff need a lift.

I feel like we cant move forward until this stadium plan is given the go ahead.

The thing is, he gets zero return on his Arsenal stake. No dividends, and unless/until he sells up, no profit. If, and it still a big IF, he somehow divests himself of his Arsenal stake, (at massive profit), and sees the opportunities up here to then make even more profit via the ground/docks/share price increase, well, its not exactly a Morse mystery is it?

Be like doing the penny share trading in comparison to what he's made at Arsenal. Can't see it myself I reckon he thrives on p'ing off the rest of the board at Arsenal. Who can blame him really.

I think that was a "hint" to my post :)

By underdogs i mean, someone like Tottenham who still compete against the Goliats.

Also history reviels, that the most important factor, for winning silverwear in this club, is the manager.

Right now, we have a billionare who can not apoint a manager, even after three try's, in one half season.

It's unbeliveble

Really hope you are right and he is half way up the M6 already. It would be incredible for us and we would be right up there financially. However, you still have to manage the money well as our ugly neighbours have found for 30 years - all that investment and still no PL title. Just imagine if we managed to win it before they did!?!? The fume would be worth 30 years of disappointment and despair especially when it's placed in the new trophy room on the waterfront at BMD.
