If he was player that could come in and calm that tendency to hoof right down I'd agree. However, another reservation I have on him is that he tends to receive the ball and then immediately release it long down the field.

Barkley may as well be sold this window, because this is another change that will diminish further his influence on our approach play.

You bang on about beautiful football then suggest Wanyama? He's an athletic frock if ever there was one. Spurs' midfield falls apart without Dembele. Wanyama is just a decent shield nothing more. Gueye is a far better footballer:

Big mate of mine is a spurs fan, he's been raving about wanyama all season. Undoubtedly dembele is the better footballer, but wanyama has added much steel and defensive discipline to their side. To be honest I don't think there are many better centre midfield partnerships in the country, that's until gana and schneiderlin play together
