Apparently they're slated to come out a year apart,and he was already involved in writing the (completed) script. Whether GotG will be pushed back remains to be seen.

Be Interesting to see if this is a one-off from Disney to complete the triolgy or if they continue to use Gunn going forward. I hope this means we might get to see more writers, directors, even actors ect working for both brands going forward. Probably never gonna happen but it'd be nice to see.

I remember being dead excited about the fourth film...after the original 3... It was pants, episode 1 I think?? Christ it's so confusing now. Every film since, well except Rogue was just dreadful. I blame the casting...I've barely liked a single member of the ensemble since Jedi.
