upcoming films

I don’t know why but never ever got into the X-Men movies. Possibly Vinny Jones’ fault.
They get quite a bit of negativity for some reason, but I've always found them quite entertaining myself. Obviously Deadpool is part of the whole X-Men film universe even if very loosely and the whole Wolverine triolgy was great. Logan is one of my all-time favourite comicbook movies. You should try them again pal, you won't be disappointed.

Oh yeah Logan is unbelievable. And love both Deadpools too.
I mean the main X-Men movies. Never got into them at all.

With X-Men coming to Disney soon, I just desperately hope they keep it separate from the main MCU movies. Maybe it's the chance to expand on the muti-verse yet keep them apart. It'd be the exact same problem the comics have. X-Men doesn't work when its in the main MU for me. It has no logic, the whole premise of X-Men is that mutants are hated and feared for being different but in the main MCU why would anyone be arsed about them? Seriously if you've seen a talking raccoon, a walking tree and alien invasions then your not likely to be arsed about a dude shooting laser beems from his eyes are you?!

I guess it's different if they're humans with 'magic' powers...

Get Jo on.

They better not make it a total remake as they'll never better the original. What they need is a modern twist. Instead of setting it in wartime, it could be set in the present day, where the ex-footballers are in prison for drugs and crimes associated with gambling debts. Maradona can take the Pele role, Merson can play Caine and they take on a German football team that are imprisoned for fraud, taking bungs, surgically precise cannibalism and other such more Germanic things. At the end both teams escape and go on a mad bender in Amsterdam. A kind of Escape to Victory/The Hangover crossover film.

Very interesting news RE James Gunn coming back for Guardians of the Galaxy three while also working on Suicide Squad two. I'd imagine there's gonna be at least a two-year gap between them though but it's interesting to see how it works for him being involved with both franchises around the same time.

Apparently they're slated to come out a year apart, and he was already involved in writing the (completed) script. Whether GotG will be pushed back remains to be seen.
