upcoming films

Probably upset some nerds but deadpool sounds and looks terrible. Also Ryan Reynolds should only be cast as d-bags as he is about as likable as Dane Cook. Both should be put in a bag and thrown in a lake.

Him and Taylor Kitsch. All looks, no substance.

@Bryan

I see what you're up to in here You Bad Biff.

Everest - based on the true story of the ill-fated 96 disaster where 20 people died on the mountain in single day. Twelve on the way up and eight who were caught in a massive storm on the descent.

Kinda personal for me, as earlier that year I climbed with one of the professional climbers on one of the commercial expeditions. He got slated by Krakauer in his book "into thin air" so it will be interesting to see how he is portrayed in this film. IMO Krakauer was a massive tit!

Went to see this, thought it was excellent. In the film the (I think) Russian guy Anatoli gets slated for not using oxygen, did you climb with him? Did you summit?

Hiya - Yeah I climbed with Anatoli a few months before the Everest expedition. I met him whilst I was climbing in the Caucasus on Mt Elbrus. He was in training for a season in the Himalaya's. Maybe he wasn't the right person to be a guide - as he was an extremely focused solo climber. However oxygen or not he was deffo the strongest climber on that mountain when the storm stuck. There's more than a few climbers who owe their lives to him.

Sadly he was killed in an avalanche the following year on Annapurna
