That’s all I want from it. Tom Cruise doing some mental things, some form of a plot but I’m not that bothered about how coherent it is.

Why have they made Napoleon look stereotypically short in this trailer with all the camera angles etc, wasn't it a lie made up by the English and he was actual around 5'8 which was an average height for a man back then?

Also seen some historical buffs on twitter crying about flags, apparently wrong (modern) Austrian flag used at battle of Austerlitz (i think) instead of historical double headed eagle one, some people really nitpicking at every detail

Well it's a very well documented time in history, so they should be able to get details like that correct but yeah some people just want to pick at anything. Interesting character old Napoleon, did lots of good stuff, did lots of bad stuff, interesting to see how it's portrayed, and at what point in his life the movie ends, I don't imagine slowly dying of arsenic poisoning on a small island in isolation will make for a fitting finish!

I don’t remember reading the book so I’m not sure but I’m sure I heard Depps version is supposed to be closer to the character in the book. I’m sure I heard the stuff with his dad played by Christopher Lee is more like the book too. I don’t think the original even mentions his dad
