Unreserved Seating

I'm not buying a season ticket with the risk I'll be in a bad view + away from my mates.

The whole point of it mate is that people are actually able to get with their mates more easily as you now don't need to look for several seats all together when buying tickets only for those available ones to have a crap view. That's why I don't think it'll work very well around most of Goodison but it could be done at BMD, they could also implement a system that tells you what seats are available etc. so it's easier

Sounds like un-allocated seating which will result in potential stress in getting to the stadium on time to ensure you get a decent seat to me.

Might be wrong here so let me know. .

Forget it.
If BMD is a goer only the bare necessities will be done at the old lady.
The only part of the ground which could be adapted is the park end and the old scallies want have that

makes you wonder what people did a football games for the century + before allocated seating?
funny enough don't recall any mass kickoffs over somebody robbing your speck after half time, if you are worried about it go in the allocated bit of the ground.

It was terrace. IE: you were standing and ended up moving 20 yards when we scored anyway.

What happens if you go for a pee and someone else is sitting in your seat when you return? All hell could break lose

Yes without a doubt.

Going to reserved seating is what lost the atmosphere for me. It was the a great way of all us singers getting together, to do that now you have to say to fans get your seat in such and such a place then our more simple fans go you can't manufacture an atmosphere and put everyone off.

The reason is was stopped though was because the police/SAG? said you can't have more than 90% occupancy.

The League Cup continued to have unreserved seating up until the early 2000's some of the atmospheres in those games were better than recent derbies.

Same at PSG. You get seat numbers on the tickets but people don't respect it. Causes some issues though when someone does actually want to sit in their seat

This is true, at Burnley when it came through Leicester were beating City, it did have an effect on the atmosphere. Its hard watching us plod along, but it is in the back of everyone's minds whats going on elsewhere.

'Everyones minds'?

When I'm watching the Blues I couldn't give a flying F at 'what's going on elsewhere'. No wonder so many of their whoppers think we're obsessed with them.

I dont know if you were there but trust me, a lot of people were talking about Leicester scoring against City

Remember the days of the lower gladdy being all unreseverved?

Would a return to that being about a better atmosphere?

All those who wanted to could move and get together to shout.

I bet half this forum don’t even remember the days when you could just decide to go to games with your mates. Seating has killed all that. If you have a season ticket, you can’t bring anyone with you. They have to sit where they can get.
How many would be attendees does that discourage from going??

I hate the term “safe standing”. There’s nothing unsafe about standing. The old terraces back when ibrox just had insufficient barriers. Same with leppings lane, plus criminally negligent police rammed too many in... when we finally get back to standing (which I hope we will get round all 4 sides), I hope at least some of it is unreserved so people can get back to just going to games on a whim again.

Sadly not going to happen mate.

Standing as we knew it, rightly or wrongly, wont ever be coming back.
