Very clever appointment from Arsenal if you ask me, he's a proven winner and has a good knowledge of La Liga's hidden gems. Going with Arteta would have been very silly, the equivalent of us appointing Unsworth full time. The heart may want it but the possibility of utter disaster would be too great, they're supporters would be wanting him out after one game ("he's never managed blud, what are the board doing blud, get Wenger back blud").

Really think the Arse will be contenders again next season, especially if they choose to bin off the Europa League.

Maybe. Not so sure they could raise gazillions in sales. Plenty of good players with a year or less left on deals. Several on serious wages.

IMO, this is a classic Kronke MO. Just like he has done in the US. Happy for Arsenal to be a cash cow to underwrite his other interests.
