That’s welcome, but there really needs to be urgent work on measures to protect us all. The EU has to be in a position to protect itself, feed itself and supply itself and have that in place very quickly, by 2024 at the absolute latest.

I think the political will to do all that is definitely in place if not the physical ability to do it all. It'll be very difficult for the EU to feed and supply itself ans also bad for the world economy. I suppose what you mean is not to be relient on one source.

There is still a lot dysfunction in EU and always a lot of depends on German attitude. This EU jets offer from last few days is example, EU said they gonna give fighter jets to Ukraine and then individual states (Poland, Bulgaria, Slovakia) who own Mig 29s either refused or didn't have means too.

That dysfunction needs to be removed and PDQ.

There wasnt actually butter mountains - they just paid farmers to pour milk down the drain instead.

We get a lot of our grains etc from Ukraine - as do a lot of Northern African countries.
