I live in the neighbouring constituency, and I think it's quite possible.

A lot of that new constituency isn't in Somerset, it's BANES and South Gloucestershire mostly. The boundaries around there have been messed about a lot. The old Wansdyke constituency, which preceeded Mogg's North East Somerset constituency, formed for the 2010 election, was held by Labour for three elections from 1997, by Dan Norris, Mogg's opponent.

Apparently he is going to be standing in the Clacton constituency, though that doesn’t rule out a deal with the Tories (where they agree not to stand in X constituencies if Reform won’t stand in Y)

Aren't the constituency borders changing substantially, in a way that doesn't favour him? I don't know the area of the country at all, but I've read that previously.
