I think she might have had 24hrs to register now because of the leak forcing hands mate.
All very odd. I think I've said in here before, I get the feeling Labour are happy taking a risk on inner city seats they usually win comfortably in order to appeal to the 'swing seats' needed for a majority. Risky in my view. Lose a few too many, including some like where I live where the margin was 200ish in 2019, and a majority looks unlikely. Trust me, there's enough anti-labour around here who'll vote Tory regardless. Lose a good number of the faithful? Might be tight.

I believe you're thinking is correct. There is a strategy in play and I also think that come GE day that the margins will be much closer than current polls suggest.

As much as some are upset by what is happening I'd suggest that for the good of the country we have to hope that Starmer has managed to find a path to power.

Yes I did. You did not read my reply did you.

The reply I commented on that was nothing to do with what the article said?

Do you really think it’s not dodgy at all for a faction within a party to select (without a fair contest) election software that they then allegedly manipulate? That people who’d do that would behave honestly when given real power?

Sad, but they've only got themselves to blame. The chap that's been put into compete for Corbyn's seat has made a few mil from privatised NHS services, the one in our constituency doesn't seem to have any political interests going by the blurb, although she is crazy about animals, so that's a bonus.

Democratic choice exists, regardless of what you wish to believe. As I say, you will have the choice of multiple parties and indi's come GE day.

And do I think Labour would be less dodgy thay the tory's, yes. Do I think any politician is as clean as a whistle, no.

Strongly suspect Corbyn will win his seat. Be interesting to see what happens with Abbots. Might see a backlash.

…..I’m old enough to remember Diane Abbott being the biggest critic of private education in this country and then sending her own son to a posh private school. It was a big story at the time but genuinely turned out very sad. The young man, whose godfather is jailed ex-Conservative minister Jonathan Aitken fell on very bad times.

Abbott has had things very tough, not forgetting the vile comments from the Tory donor and I’ve actually been concerned about her health and wellbeing for a number of years.
You can be a critic of a system and still be complicit in it. She wants her kid to get a chance in life but still recognises the system is massively lopsided towards kids with a rich daddy and extra digits. I don't have an issue with that personally and like Corbyn she is very popular with her constituents. Its a bad look and its very sad the party feels it has to play towards a gallery of white van men.

…I have no issue with the private education either, even if it demonstrated she wasn’t as adhered to her socialist principles as she preached. We all want the best for our kids but sadly her son has had a very troubled life and that must’ve paid a toll on her. I’d be worried about her capacity for public office.

This has been poorly handled, should’ve been sorted months ago but Starmer might actually come out of it ok.
