He couldn't beat Theresa May who ran an utterly awful campaign or the serial liar Johnson. It's his own fault.

This is a bit of fantasy really - May called that campaign because the polls had her miles ahead, and thought Labour would collapse. Their campaign was terrible but the Labour one was brilliant, focusing on parts of the electorate that all parties had ignored and the end result was a vote count that that may well be more than what Starmer gets in this predicted landslide.

In 2019 the Tories were a a bit wiser, they fought a campaign with unlimited funding, unprecedented support from wider society and made sure that (unlike 2017) the anti-Corbyn Labour MPs didn’t stay silent.

While I don’t disagree with this. The gutter press, gullible public and Labour in-fighting is something every Labour leader has to deal with.

Those things were in place pre and post Corbyn and will never change.
Being a neo Tory helps though...see Blair and Starmer.
