2025/26 Tyrique George

But using your own logic you could say that about any young player? Why sign George for £25m when we could sign some other young kid for £8m? Why are you so scared of taking that risk mate? Why are you turning your nose up at all the other young lads?
You're trying to use my point against me, that doesn't really work.

I'm not scared of risks, I embrace them. That's how you move forward.

I would hope that's not the attitude inside the club, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was. Terrifying how much we are intent on doing ourselves over. 2nd biggest signing in the club's entire history.
Sunk cost at this point, worst thing you can do is double down on it now. We need a playable right wing and it’s not going to be Dibling.

Well I’m not really sure what your point actually is to be honest mate. Your reply to me had absolutely no relevance at all to what I actually said but no worries, I’m used to it by now.

We brought in a young exciting player that carries all the traits you want to see in a lad, we put ourselves in an ever better situation by being able to see before we spend, Would you take the chance or would you rather wait and hope we find another ?
they would be gambles either way but this lad we've actually seen in our shirt.

We have a Manager that refuses to give proper opportunity's even when other players are totally out of form, I don't want that stubbornness to come back and haunt us.

Negotiate £15m and he'll be a steal. Looks head and shoulders above McNeil, more direct than Ndiaye, and with plenty of time to develop further.

Sadly, we might require loaning him out a season and waiting until Moyes has disappeared. Definitely has a high ceiling and we should secure him before somebody else does.

Anthony Gordon is a speed merchant only and he's just gone for £70m.

In social media circles, this lad is wanted by Alonso and not going anywhere next season

Tyrique George has been told he will not be going out on loan this summer, and the decision came directly from Alonso.

The 19-year-old attacker was expected to follow the standard Chelsea academy-to-loan pipeline. Alonso ended that conversation before it could begin. He watched George’s cup appearances from this season and told Cobham staff the winger has “an unusual understanding of space for his age.”

George will be in first-team training from day one of preseason. He won’t start Premier League matches immediately. But Alonso wants him in the environment, absorbing the system.

That's forgetting that Everton have an option to make the loan permanent, if Tyrique is willing to accept. Maybe, under a new manager, he'd be willing to be a bigger part of our first team than yet another player that ends up wasted at Chelsea? Moot point really because it's already been proven that Moyes prefers basically anybody over him, which is mad.

….doesn’t matter what Alonso wants if we have an option. Not sure of the situation if the player want to go back but I’d guess he signed for that release option too.

A little surprised our intentions have not been mentioned.

He signed the release option before he was largely ignored by the manager. My guess is he'd probably rather go back to Chlsea now.

I'm pretty sure we couldn't just convert it to a permanent deal without him confirming he wants to stay. And even if we could, he could simply say he doesn't wish to stay and the club would have no option but to give it up.

I would imagine Iriola would welcome the likes of Aznou, Alcaraz and George to be part of his vision for what he'd like to achieve? I've little doubt in my mind that his tactics would see these players come on for at least 25 minutes during the match to freshen things up and look far better than what we have seen under moyes, (rather than the 1 minute that Alcaraz got a couple of games ago.)

George is the type of winger that needs doubling up on, as is ndiaye. You need that threat on both wings to stretch teams.
When I saw Rohl and o'brien on the right side, I automatically knew we were screwed.

when we've won the noise has been minimised.
when we've drawn the mob have been out.
when we've lost it's all on him.

it's all been 20 20 hindsight. I understand people need someone to blame. fair enough. bin him, get someone else in, when they fail, I get to 20 20 hindsight bin the noisy ones this time round.

that's what's required, a thinning of the ranks in the martinez and benitez believers. some very loud clowns with no self awareness. (not an accusation against you).
Thank goodness. I don't want to be thrown in to the pot with the shouty brigade. I just put them on ignore. It does wonders for your blood pressure.
