2025/26 Tyler Dibling

Is this not what you were all asking for?

Signings with potential that we can implement into the squad learn off the more senior players in his position (N'Diaye & Grealish) and fill in when required?

For context, this is Grealish's season at 19

Yep, I think people are going way over the top about this. Ndiaye and Grealish are our two best players. For Dibling to be getting any minutes, it would really have to be at the expense of one of them (Moyes has already said he thinks Ndiaye is better suited to playing wide than as a number 10)

There's no rush. It might be worse if Ndiaye or Grealish were underperforming, but they aren't.

100%

There should be more questions on players not getting game time such as Aznou & Barry who both play in positions that we are hugely underperforming

FWIW, though i think the 'use' of these players coming from different leagues, to a different pace do take time. Its why someone like Moyes likes or liked to go to the Championship, there is obviously the exception people would put out there, but the last few years particularly.....new signings very rarely hit the ground running, so instead of labeling them as 'project players' or first teamers etc, they are new players.
Barry not looking like Lukaku mark 2 is not his fault, its the club's fault for having our only other option being Beto

Different profile of player, but instead of him learning from Grealish, I’d rather we just showed him videos of Minteh and tell him we really needed/wanted someone who could do EXACTLY what he does every week, just try and do things like him please.

Need to get him running at speed with ball, being hard to knock off it, and he needs to get in positions so when the ball comes he has the space to accelerate and get defenders dangling out legs instead of having time to double up.

He’s been relatively appalling in his limited game time, but just involving him in our laboured build up that inevitably sees him roll it back to Jake or inside to Garner isn’t really helping anyone.

“Here’s a video of a winger who plays nothing like you and is so much faster than you. Can you please get a lot faster and completely change your game? Cheers”

Maybe….maybe…. I was praising the massive impact Minteh has with the ball because the team/manager put him in the positions to do so. And possibly decrying the way we are telling Dibbo to stand on the touch line and giving him the ball to feet when he is already marked, then wondering why his appearances to date have been totally pointless and ineffective. Literally could have put Dwight there, or Jack Harrison.

I was being obtuse but let’s face it, £40m for a teenage winger, I think there is an expectation he could get to the by-line now and then, or cause a minor headache for a full back. We are sending him out with a mindset of “don’t worry, you are a small child, we have zero expectations,” and he is following that role exactly. The Minteh comparison was the aggression and directness he is showing, not his pace. He is effective. If we want Dibbling to cut inside and hoof balls into the box, or as he currently does, pads his and JOB’s pass completion %, then we are even more stupid than we look for buying him. Need way more from him, but more so the setup and instructions he seems to have.

You dont want to rush, but you have to keep some kind of harmony on the bench. the lads need to be ready when needed, and have the belief that its up to them to keep their place once they get the chance.

If you come on and outperform your predecessor in a few games, than that position should be your's to lose.

Dibling looked a star at Southampton last season v us - a constant fast threat down our wing - he is a record signing for us - record signings normally start in the first team - maybe it was that day we had poor fullbacks ?
How many teams pay out a record fee for any player - then bench him for ten games ?

A team looking at the future !
A player like Illy infront of you, who has been undroppable.

But its down to Moyes, he should/needs to give these players more of a chance.

You cant be seen if your not being shown.

DM has stated he may try other options on Monday as Illy prefers to play down the middle etc & as you know both our CF are struggling & DH states he not a no 10 etc - its all about finding the best permutations by DM & Dibling may get a chance etc ...

I heard yesterday that Brighton haven't played the same starting 11 consecutively in over 50 games.

Pretty impressive and it shows confidence in the players you have, also keeps the players positive.
