2025/26 Tyler Dibling

Agreed. Can see why he’d look good last season in a team pinned back in their own half. Looks like he’s good at carrying the ball with space in front of him.

As an out and out winger, might not be the best fit for his attributes and definitely not without a fullback giving him some help out there.
That's not really any different to Illy tbh, good at running with the ball at feet, Illy is not really a winger as he doesn't really create enough. Both of them are ball carrier types. However I would say overall the bits I remember seeing of him at Saints he seems a bit more Grealish like so probably somewhere in the middle of the two. I mean that moment he had where he just shuffled by 3 players with a drop of the shoulder shows there is certainly some promise there. As others have said I think we need to see him in a game with our better attackers who can offer him a better quality of support and we might see a bit more from. Also need to remember he didn't really have a proper summer schedule/pre season due to injury.

We're kind of in the perfect position with him at the moment IMO. He's got more experienced players ahead of him playing well, which makes it easier to bed him in gently. He's got time to adjust to a new manager, new club, new tactics, new city and senior football in general, and there's no real pressure to rush him.

He’s 19 and played one game away from home …

Far too early to have any opinion on him atm … good or bad …

Let him settle and let’s get the team into a position where we can give home minutes/games in a team that’s playing well and then we can start to have valid opinions

Agreed - to me he looks a bit worried about possibly losing possession and has been quite "safe" in his play whichnis somewhat natural in a new young player. Hopefully once he is comfortable in his surroundings and with his teammates he will start to show us more than he has so far.
