2025/26 Tyler Dibling

I disagree on the relevance. But anyway that point doesn’t only apply to Dibling. There have been multiple players in that bracket over yheyears
Every player purchased is a risk,as it stands now Dibling hasn't worked. Luckily he's young enough to turn it around. The weekend selection will be interesting,if George starts it tells a story.

Where have you heard that he’s homesick or is it yet another lazy rehash from his time as a kid at Chelsea ?

Also why would the name Tyler equate to coming from “ good stock “ ?

Round where I live, lads called Tyler, are normally dressed in full North Face ninja uniform, doing about 70mph on their derestricted electric mountain bikes, with a plume of skunk fumes following them.
Tyler Dibling. Didn't know many Tyler Diblings where I grew up. Maybe you know better then. Maybe he's from the tough Dock area of Southampton. By the way there's far too many people on this forum who take things that others say far too seriously.

My take that I have no backup for is that he went to Chelsea and realized he wasn't up to it on the field so he left quickly to go somewhere that he could keep his career moving. Just off of what I'm seeing here I can imagine his "homesickness" being driven by the stress of struggling to maintain a high enough level. He's certainly not up to the level we expect here.

"No back up" that's the most genuine part of the post..

I mean the narrative at this point is basically becoming that he can't adapt away from home and I think having seen him play a decent bit that the narrative might need to be the kid isn't all that good of a footballer.

And yes he's young, but we're talking about abnormal growth when someone starts out at a point this low to get to a place where they're even an above average player. I've mentioned the name Ben Godfrey before and that's what I'm seeing so far. Sometimes bad young players in a bad team are still just bad players who need to grow too much for it to be realistic.

I'm trying to be positive here, I swear I am, but I don't even know what we are supposed to hang our hat on here. He looks overmatched physically, overmatched mentally, and his level of skill doesn't seem to make up for it. There aren't even flashes of ability. And I'm a guy who is willing to hang onto flashes for a very long time! They aren't happening here.

There's a reason TFG didn't given Moyes any transfer funds in the January window. It's not rocket science.
You’re suggesting our chancers of owners care about Everton pushing on?

No chance Moyes is not in charge next season.

The reason we have spent an average of £45 Million a window since then taking over is more to do with there’s no need to.

Hire manager with a track record of “punching above his weight” give him just enough resources to do so.

=

Protect an asset they acquired for very little outlay without investing great sums.

People need to realise who our owners are now and not in 2/3 years time.
