2025/26 Tyler Dibling

We’re doing what we always do with Dibling and young players, and we need to just stop. History shows we’ve written off so many young lads who then get away and do well.

He’s hardly had a chance or real minute’s ffs, any confidence he had has been crushed by the cack handed way Moyes has managed him.

Give the lad support when he does get any minutes and get off his back.

Played as a 10 all the way through academy level, only got moved wide right by Russell Martin when he started playing PL games. To me he obviously looks more like a 10.
I think if you’re a 10, you either need to be comfortable dropping deeper into midfield, or playing out wide.

If you can only play as a 10, I think it’s quite limiting, as it’s a bit of a niche position.

So he’s probably spending time out wide for a number of reasons, but one of them will be for his long term development, imo.

Imo he's been hung out to dry a bit by the fullback situation. Doesn’t look comfortable isolated out on the right and his better moments mostly came with Patterson behind him giving him support.

That's not to say he couldn't be doing a lot better, obviously has struggled this season. Can see the skill he has though personally, and think he will be fine in time. Just needs a big moment and it will click for him I think.
Yup, fingers crossed! best we can do

Tall poppy syndrome is rife in this fan base so many get a throbbing rock on when a young lad is struggling absolute state of yers can’t imagine how useless some of the negative commenters were when they were 19!
My pov is:

- he's not the signing needed, we needed FBs
- young players should be assumed to need 'a while' , yes

Good luck to him, doesn't help anyone else he was bought into a hole, with low support. Hope he improves.

Barry has been given time to find form and doing so, gradually. Fingers crossed for Tyler.

But Tyler and Rohl aren't playing, that's my problem with their signings... Yet immediate holes in FB etc, and we're playing 4 X CBs. What if they get injured?

Get Adnan, then he's on loan, too.

Very hard to see where the ambition is this season, just rinsing Moyes and EFC fans for a season on the cheap whilst we 'rebuild '.

Well that rebuild job woulda been a helluva lot easier with European football, which makes a nonsense of these signings!
