2025/26 Tyler Dibling

Not what we needed this season. Needed 2 x FBs which we coulda got for the same money.

Money wasted, and all this speculation on homesickness, age, confidence underlines that. Wrong signing, maybe a player in there hope so for his sake, and EFC er 'recruitment' team.

But....will we be saying that in 2 years?

Hopefully not.

But Europe was on this year, and our signings (not the individuals, but the business) did a substantial amount of harm to that. Not least the spectacle of watching 4 x CB's play in a four-man defence.

Nothing against Tyler, or Adnan or Rohl. Or Tim previously (who I think the most ardent of fans could not say has been anything like a success, yet)

I just don't know why EFC continues to buy in players not fit for the first team, when we have glaring weaknesses in full back which would've improved our performances this year.

IF it's a long game... then why throw the cup games with the performances there? Appalling.

Either way shows zero expectation to play decent football or entertain fans. TFG + Moyes is a waiting game at best. We could've at least thrown on the three young uns for the last 14 games of the season and there would be something interesting to watch.

For the first time ever I am seriously seeing potential higher long term risk in Moyes staying on past the summer, than there is upside.

i.e. boring stagnation, no Europe, inability to fix key positions VS decent football, cup runs, talent that wants to join, not just paying 250k a week for Jack's cashing in for half a season.

Played as a 10 all the way through academy level, only got moved wide right by Russell Martin when he started playing PL games. To me he obviously looks more like a 10.
In his academy days he supposedly played as a ten , I think he has the attributes to excel in that position, despite Martin at Southampton placing him on the wing
Thanks for the information guys.

Based on what I've seen so far I have no idea if this lad is capable of holding down any position in the PL be it at 10 or 7.

His lack of enthusiasm and desire looks pretty alarming to me .

Look how Morgan Rogers plays at 10 . He combined skill with work rate. I just don't see that in Dibling.

looks to me like some maturation has to happen with this kid, he seems way too laid back about his situation; comes off as a little entitled...that's from 5k miles away though, so it's as valid as any of Trump's viewpoints.

Imo he's been hung out to dry a bit by the fullback situation. Doesn’t look comfortable isolated out on the right and his better moments mostly came with Patterson behind him giving him support.

That's not to say he couldn't be doing a lot better, obviously has struggled this season. Can see the skill he has though personally, and think he will be fine in time. Just needs a big moment and it will click for him I think.

Off topic but Europe wasn’t on at the start of pre season last year but it is currently on now directly as a result of our signings in the summer.
