2025/26 Tyler Dibling

“No strings attached”?? What the hell does that even mean?? 90% of transfers are like that!! About Armstrong, you answered your own question. He returned home.
As I said the sensible deal would have been 15 million with an option to buy depending on league position minutes played etc. But that doesn't change the fact that nothing he has shown points towards him having a long term future in the Prem. If you have seen something different, good for you,I can only speak as I see.

£15m? You’re living in cloud cuckoo land mate. Like I said, I’m reserving my judgement until he’s had a proper chance, like any level headed fan should.

Nowhere have I stated it did,I'm looking purely at the Dibling deal and why it wasn't structured. Same with Rohl, loan with an option to buy given his injury record, but we go with the daft option.
We probably wouldn’t have got MR without the option. We needed numbers in. He’ll cost c£16m. It’s buttons in the grand scheme and great if it is a success.

Sensible as in utterly unrealistic

Hes still very young. Hope we persist. Many bloom at say 23, and he is 19. Yes no one wants to wait that long but he has something.
Think the price for someone that’s going to take 4 years to ‘bloom’ is too high personally - there’s way too much can go awry between 19-23 to be paying that sort of fee on pure potential.
Obviously he didn’t set the fee but for the best part of £40m we needed players to perform sooner than that (unless we’ve got £100m to spend in each of the next 4-5 windows)

4 years he is off somewhere else on a free.
