2025/26 Tyler Dibling

# This could all be down to man management.

# A very good player, that has now found the world he signed up to, isn't just on the field..

# just needs something to pop, to burst into life

# Gametime, which impatience can't accept..

# A Rb

What can I answer, I can't.
But he isn't a lad i am writing off, the lad has the all the ability, he just needs to take it to the field consistently.

19yrs old.

Some lads take longer to grow..
I'm not in a position to write him off,I just rely on the eye test. In his position as a wide player you need at least one stand out attribute. Has he got outstanding pace? No. Does he have quick feet? Not particularly. Does he have the strength to burst through defenders and carry the ball to the byline? No
Does he cross the ball with accuracy consistently? Not that he's shown yet. Does he work hard to help his RB? At Forest he did, yesterday not so much.
Should we have paid that fee for his potential to excel in at least one of them?
In my opinion. No

If Moyes persisting in telling Dibling to stick on the wing, where the space is limited, and not drift inside, where there is more space, then the lad's development will be stifled. It was noticeable yesterday that Grealish, most of the time, was coming 10 yards inside to receive the ball and was more effective. The same would apply to Dibling. Grealish and Dibling should both come inside, receive the ball and start attacking. But that would require a change of shape to 3 in the middle of the park, something Moyes is reluctant to do at times. When he has, by pulling Dewsbury Hall back, we've looked more effective. It's time for Armstrong to start in a midfield 3 with Iroegbunam and Garner.

Nailed it ;)

Yeah I get what your saying, but when you see him move centrally you see a totally different side to his game, a good Fb gives him more freedom to do that or his role could just be looked at differently..

It's a one to watch, I get why people are annoyed at the use of the funds given our situation, but I also see the longer term benefit of having him.

He does need to show the fans that though..

As we know, he came up the ranks as a 10 while Southamptons then managers used him as a Right Winger to ease him into the league.

So a position more central should suit him better.

If you can watch Dibling for Southampton or in either of his full 90 mins for us and say he hasn't got one stand out attribute then I am absolutely lost for words haha

For the U21's Carsley let's him move centrally and his quicker speed of thought and passing, show a totally different player.
I have reservations about him being ready to do that at senior level, but once Ndiaye is back I just want to see him, Dibling and Grealish as the main attacking 3 and honestly I'm not arsed which one plays where haha

Or at least any 2 of them getting rotated ahead of a midfield 3

I don't know if that's anytime soon though. Currently his single elite attribute is going past a man when 1v1. That's a wide player

As I said, he came up as a central player in the 10 role.

So the data you'll be looking at i imagine is from league games? Thats right wing mostly.

Yes, centrally he's different again.

Scored that hattrick as a 10 as well vs Newcastle i think for Southampton u21s.
