2025/26 Tyler Dibling

Thought he was anonymous today, both offensively and defensively.

Didn’t offer O’Brien much of an outlet but then when he does get it, gets left stranded because JOB isn’t a right back.

He looked better vs Forest and showed a few nice little link ups with Patterson who does get forward more. But I can also understand why having them as a right side is a risk for Moyes.

He will come good when we get a new real right back in.

I appreciate he is young but you won't make it at PL level if you don't put in any effort and his effort was piss poor today. He didn't offer any quality either. Looked like a little boy lost.

As much as Beto deserves criticism a lot of the time he can at least produce a productive performance which is borne out of effort. Ran around, threw in some tackles and got himself a goal.

Dibling gave us absolutely nothing today.

19 years old, 3 games starting and been charged with all the blame?
Wow.
Some posters need desperately a scapegoat to beat

Yes and Moyes gave it to them.

How anyone can be behind Moyes for the long term seeing how hes treating the young players and his shocking in game tactics is beyond me.

Doesnt seem bothered after losing games either. Clown.

You can see it in his face and body language, the lad is utterly bereft of confidence, I'd assume a. because he joined and constantly saw a garbage, reserve left winger played over him when a spot was available at right wing, and b. because even if he does get a go, he's set up for failure by having absolutely no support from the full back.

I really feel for the lad.
Just imagine how Aznou feels as well after being stripped and ready to come on vs Forest?

Moyes showing huge weaknesses with young players he signed.

If Rohl starts ahead of Armstrong next game then we know the score.

This.

Frustrates me how we have to make an example of players like Dibling. They can’t start a match until they’ve had a loan in the championship, sat on the bench for half a season, had another half a season playing out of position, had 2 years in the army, and then once they are starting as soon as they have a bad 45 mins they’re pulled off.

Meanwhile Keane, Gueye, Tarkwoski, Mykolenko, McNeil you can be as rubbish as you like, make whatever error you want, you’re getting start after start year after year.

Same as Aznou and we'll probably see Armstrong suffer as well.

Moyes has a lot to prove the rest of the season with these 3 kids. Fail and posters should want him gone.

Doesn’t play anything like he did at Southampton when he ran at players. Just not allowed to play his natural game.

See ive been annoyed with Grealish slowing the play down since his occasional quick/direct play when he joined.

Both Grealish and Dibling both slow the play, have 2 or 3 defenders on them then look for a pass.

Its all tactical from Moyes. Clear as day.

We don’t play wingers into space though. Every single time O’Brien had an opportunity to play a quick ball down the line for Dibling he turns backwards or infield. We don’t transition well enough across the front to get Dibling running onto the ball at pace with a fullback retreating infrotn of him, think we’ve done this once since he’s been here. The team is set up to put Grealish into space, we don’t play the same way to the right winger.

Its quite amusing really to read people slating Dibling and not having the common sense to see what O'Brien was (or wasnt) doing behind him.

Our tactics are, give it to Grealish. Thats it.

As i posted last night, even Mykolenko gets up to support Grealish. KDH has done so as well, as has Garner.

Not a single player did the same on the right.

I'm absolutely staggered that the manager saw what was happening down that right hand side today (and every time O'Brien plays right back) and thought the solution was to replace Dibling with Rohl.

I can't even begin to understand what Moyes was thinking with that.

According to Moyes Rohl can play all over the pitch and is amazing in training.

In reality its because Dibling is 19.

I have faith in him.

Our failings in the window aren't down to this lad..
Not down to him specifically, but in isolation there's nothing in his game that stands out. And for the fee we paid there should be. I remember the rumours about Adama Traoré a couple of years ago. Blinding pace with little end product. But at least he had blinding pace...

he had a stinker and he is dar too languid but he should start on weds as the talent is there and also we don’t have any other viable options

he looked so much better when partnered with an actual right back so please do this moyes

….i’d also be for him starting, hopefully he plays like he has a point to prove.

Having a safety first CB behind you and a one-footed clogger who doesn’t want be on that side of the pitch inside you, isn’t really the best way of setting you up to succeed. He was poor, make no mistake but then McNeil was abysmal as was Tim, as was Keane, as was Mykolenko, as was Tarkowski, as was Rohl, as was O’Brien. He looked like he had lost all the confidence in his play that he had displayed against Forest and wasn’t switched on enough defensively either.
It will be interesting and probably soul destroying for him to see if that roll of player shame above all start the next game or get chances with impunity while Dibling is forced to watch from the bench.

If Moyes persisting in telling Dibling to stick on the wing, where the space is limited, and not drift inside, where there is more space, then the lad's development will be stifled. It was noticeable yesterday that Grealish, most of the time, was coming 10 yards inside to receive the ball and was more effective. The same would apply to Dibling. Grealish and Dibling should both come inside, receive the ball and start attacking. But that would require a change of shape to 3 in the middle of the park, something Moyes is reluctant to do at times. When he has, by pulling Dewsbury Hall back, we've looked more effective. It's time for Armstrong to start in a midfield 3 with Iroegbunam and Garner.

# This could all be down to man management.

# A very good player, that has now found the world he signed up to, isn't just on the field..

# just needs something to pop, to burst into life

# Gametime, which impatience can't accept..

# A Rb

What can I answer, I can't.
But he isn't a lad i am writing off, the lad has the all the ability, he just needs to take it to the field consistently.

19yrs old.

Some lads take longer to grow..
