Baffles me sometimes when managers don’t make simple subs like this. Would have kept him involved and given him some minutes in a game that’s won - makes a pointless JOB sub instead.
Yep, a poor sub choice imo that mate.

At 2-0 with ten minutes, even 5 minutes to go, the game isn't wonBaffles me sometimes when managers don’t make simple subs like this. Would have kept him involved and given him some minutes in a game that’s won - makes a pointless JOB sub instead.
What does this attitude say about Dibling though? It seems Moyes shares your view, but if he's not good enough to play 10 minutes as a like for like sub when you're 2 up at home, something is badly wrong there for me. Bringing him on wouldn't have been throwing caution to the wind, it's just swapping a tiring RW for a fresh one.At 2-0 with ten minutes, even 5 minutes to go, the game isn't won
At 3-0, maybe
Not sure it's worth throwing him on for the last few plays. Give him a bit longer to grow into and affect a game
Don't get me wrong, I'd like to see him get more game time - especially given how quickly Ndiyae tires from around 60 mins (and often switches off defensively as a result) - but I understand why you wouldn't today.
Was vital we secured that win

Moyes also stupidly and smugly commented that Dibbling will have to wait his turn like others before. Nonsense. He certainly was mate, he didn't like it at all
I thought once that 2nd went in and Ndiaye looked like he was done, that would have been a perfect time to bring him on and get some minutes.

The manager could have give the lad a few minutes after Keane scored.

Yeah I agree, I'm still scarred enough by Bournemouth last season to not be arsed about attackers being given minutes in a situation like that. Especially with added time to be determined. They score with a bit of time on the clock and he gets hammered for bringing on Dibling rather than shoring things up.At 2-0 with ten minutes, even 5 minutes to go, the game isn't won

You'd wonder how we scouted him for such an inflated fee. For that sort of money you'd expect a player who's going to make some sort of impression.
This scenario is rarer than rocking horse poopToday I don't think it was the attitude, just the attributes
Think Moyes wanted to shut up shop so was only interested in defensive substitutes. Perhaps not the circumstances to give someone minutes for the sake of confidence building
Had we been 3 or 4 up, I think he would have given him minutes
From mine and the above posters point of view, I was also disappointed with Dibling not coming on.
However, for Moyes mentality, see below:
After the game was won I can understand why Moyes brought O'Brien on over Dibling (and others).
It was a must win game and to be 2-0 up for Moyes he must have been thinking that we had to close shop and hold on for the win.
We've had games before against the likes of Bournemouth where we all thought we would have the 3 points and then...a draw or even a loss with a collapse.
Today, all about the 3 points no matter if any other players could have been given minutes.
Well, yes. Although today we could have beenThis scenario is rarer than rocking horse poop
Agreed mate.Well, yes. Although today we could have been
Like I say, I'd like Moyes to throw him on earlier for Ndiyae, who has a habit of tiring after 60 mins and then completely switching off defensively
But today I don't think giving him ten mins would have helped anyone
You'd hope that wasn't the expectation. The fact he didn't get ten minutes at least today is a worry. That’s the problem with expectations mate everyone has different ones.
Perhaps what is happening is exactly what was expected by the club!
