you have got arteta playing 15 year olds in the champions league....Namechecking defenders is hilarious in this instance. The kid is a right winger. There's a reason you see multitudes more teenage attackers than teenage defenders.

Just nonsense. He started Baines from the first day, he just got injured. Lescott came into the side at left back from the moment he arrived just to fit him in.What does Dibling need to do to get into the team?
Moyes: "We want him to up his levels, up his training. I think about Leighton Baines, Joleon Lescott, John Stones - they had to wait there time."
Maybe at first, but now,I doubt it. Rohl at least has shown some promise in the little we've seen of him. Dibling I think is one for next season...unless he has a relegation clause.Let’s be honest mate, if wed spent and got John McGinn and Thomas Soucek rather than Rohl and Dibling, people would have been apoplectic.
We don't have a lot to offer. And I did mention Europe. We also don't have European football
On offer
I was referring to Barry, Apologies it was on the wrong thread. He's not totally unsuitable for our set up. A lot of people just wanted pure pace on the wing and that's not what he brings. Has a different game and that's fine.
Long term I can see him playing behind the striker or doing a similar job to what Grealish is doing. Silly to write him off just because he's not the exact profile you wanted for the wing last summer.
Dibling did play 35 games for Southampton last season ( no idea how many were Prem) So I'm puzzled by Moyes not giving him more starts (or maybe not)Are we not stable?
I agree but with the younger ones that's not going to happen in a week really is it....clearly more Senior signings are contributing like Grealish and KDH, so the issue is obviously the scale and scope of the change and adjustment to the profile of player and influenced by youth or adjustment to the league.
That's when you can bring in younger players not when we can't buy more than the odd goal or keep clean sheets.did they?
maybe i didn't notice it because we were a top 7 side at the time.....

There's no way he was not involved, it doesn't fit moyes established MO. I know there were reports and rumors that supposedly he was very intent on signing Dibling , thought he was a rare generational talent especially how much time we spent negotiating his fee. If Moyes wasn't interested you would think that lengthy process of trying to find an agreement with Southampton would of been shut downSo he's not looking good enough in training to win a starting spot three months into the season. A fantastic decision to spunk the largest part of our budget on him.
The fall out that's coming from these signings if Moyes gets sacked is going to be interesting. If he wasn't behind them he won't be shy in throwing them under the bus the second he's out of the job.
I mentioned it because it's not like he doesn't have Prem experience. You could make that case for Barry, but Dibling should have at least shown something more by now. He looks as if taking on a defender is a new concept to him. Or could that be down to team orders? Who knows but Moyes seems to be hell bent on using a system that doesn't suit the players available.Should we not work to a higher baseline standard then Southampton 24/25 mate.

It's pretty easy to play an exceptionally talented 15-year old (which we don't have regardless) in side that is insanely strong and on a winning run. You can be flexible when the rest of the team is already firing. Is ours?
