lol **** off Martinez. The guy is losing his head by the day. Hibbo > Browning in every situation on a football pitch!

Thought he was excptional defensively today, and although he offered little going forward this hasn't been the case in his other appearances. Wonder if he was told to just stick on Montero?

Did rather well today. Good lad. ;)

Not as threatening to Coleman's or the centre half specs as Galloway is to Baines or the centre halves, imo.

'Tis great to have such quality youngsters. Most encouraging. :)

He should be proud of himself, very tough player to shackle and he done very well. Should give him confidence and well done Martinez for his faith in our young lids.

Three of our defence were 21 and under today, and kept another clean sheet.
That is some stat.

Throw Ross, Gerry and Lukaku into the mix and I think we can all start getting optimistic for the future.

It will be much easier to attract good youth talent to the club on the back of this too.

After a somewhat shaky start the young lad settled well, more so when you consider who he was facing.
More game time will soon settle those nerves.

Montero is one of the best LB just behind Galloway. Thought Browning did well, but was reluctant to go forward. Nice to see RM jade faith in him.

Swans struggling to get into final third

Swansea 0-0 Everton

If you wanted graphical proof of how Swansea are struggling to get into the final third of the pitch against Everton, let alone the Toffees' penalty area, then check out the heatmap on the left below.

Everton (on the right) are doing rather better - and you can see how Ty Browning is helping them threaten down the right with his galloping runs forward.

Have to turn around and say now though after all our panic through the summer, the most sorted part with the greatest quality depth pf the team is now the defence lol

Utterly bizzare how quickly things can change like

Jagielka, Stones, Galloway, Browning, Coleman, Baines, Garbutt and behind those Holgate, Pennington and Kenny out getting valuable first team experience at Wigan and all three of those look to have as much potential as was hoped for Browning and Galloway, the future at the back looks very very bright indeed

and all of them coming through under the Martinez system of playing it out from the back
