TV Series

The missus just asked, Have we watched Boardwalk Empire?. Erm no babe, you've never fancied it. Is it any good she asks?. I believe so yes. Shall we watch it then?. If you want babe.

Get in!!!!! lol I haven't told her there's about 20 series like. Hope it's as good as everyone says.

We're 15 minutes into the first episode and she hasn't got bored yet so that's a good sign.

We haven't watched the Sopranos either. That's next.

Boardwalk had its moments when it went really, really rubbish, but its mostly very good, just grind through the bad bits, its worthwhile.

Right I’m watching Brassic at the moment and I’m struggling. I watched the first series and had the same problem. There’s just something about it that’s not quite right. I can’t decide if it’s just a load of sketches sellotaped together designed to target the FHM male. Some of the acting is great but some of it is absolutely abysmal, adding to my confusion about whether I like it or not.

it just feels a bit like someone is playing me a bit. Like they’ve designed something that I supposed to like, drugs, girls, slapstick comedy, violence, but it leaves me feeling like I have thrown away an hour of my life each time I watch it. In fact I think that’s it, it is a massive waste of time and effort just watching it.

mid anyone else having similar problems? Oh and I think Michelle Keegan is crap in it. Obviously in there to attract a certain type of audience but she just doesn’t fit. Like a poor mans megan fox in transformers, and she was [Poor language removed] in that as well.
Have you tried watching something else instead?

I've just bought Amazon prime. What's good?

Bosch is probably the best thing on there
Goliath series one and two good, number three not so much
The Marvelous Mrs Maisel if you need to watch something with the other half, need to stick with it it for a few episodes to let the characters develop as they are all pretty irritating to start with (and probably remain so).
James May our Man in Japan is a slightly left field look at the Country which is often quite hilarious in places. He comes across well on his own without the other idiots he’s normally associated with.

Others I’ve watched and were ok include Treadstone and Hanna - both solid series but not top level.

Jack Ryan and The Boys mentioned by others are definitely better than the two just mentioned above.

Plenty to go at for your monthly fee.
