Much to my surprise and despite my previous critical comments, I'm enjoying this latest run of Homeland.
Maybe because we now know this is the penultimate series and will sow the seeds for the final run.
In the meantime a nice easy watch at the end of the weekend.

I feared the worst too, but have been pleasantly surprised.

It`s a not so thinly veiled swipe at Trump and is scarily believable.

Watched a dvd some time back called 'Seven Seconds', featuring Wesley Snipes & Tamzin Outhwaite, it was truly awful !!

Has anyone tried save me on Sky Atlantic yet ? Can’t be arsed starting anything new unless it’s worthwhile.

I’ve watched all 6 episodes and would say that it gets more compelling, more gripping and definitely darker.
A very good series.

Is anyone here a fan of Agents of SHIELD?

I can't recall another show that has just continuously improved so much season after season. The writers have really been knocking it out of the park recently, they've taken full advantage of fleshing out the character arcs of each of the main cast having had the benefit of dedicating the entire first 30 or so episodes to introducing them and getting us invested. They recently reached 100 episodes and it's a testament to how well the show has progressed.

Agree entirely. Stand out performance from Lennie James.
I watched all the series in two goes on catch up. Very engrossing.

Lennie wrote it as well. I’ve never come across him before (looking at his credits maybe I should have) but he is clearly very talented.

I wouldn't have been able to name him prior to this series, but I immediately recalled him being on many TV series as soon as I began watching him. Suranne Jones had better watch out though as I fear she may begin to be the go-to girl for playing the female downtrodden character with a ruthless streak within her as regards revenge.

It's not 'bad', but not 'good' in any way either...

The female lead as 'helen' is very attractive so I will keep watching purely for her...

However, one absolutely disgraceful thing is casting black actors as greek warriors....

Would they cast white actors as African slaves???

Absolute shocker...

The Americans was good for 3-4 seasons, completely under the radar for some reason.

Liked this recent 'Godless' (mini-series), Mindhunter very good, Ozark decent though not great.
