TV Series

Mate, loads of bands keep putting out hundsheisse which sells - because they have an audience, not because it’s any good. I love The Walking Dead, and plenty will tell you it’s rubbish, but that’s in season eight now. Taste innit?
no doubt mate it’s all about taste .personally I thought it got better after the Brodie story which went a series since too long . Let’s be honest though HBO don’t keep shows running for 8 series if they decline every year .

Fair play. I ditched it after season six I think. It was great for a long time, but just stopped enjoying it and being interested in the characters and storyline. HBO know their stuff - was a massive fan of Dexter and The Sopranos. Neither went beyond eight seasons though, but suppose it all depends whether there’s still an audience and/or commitment from the writers to continue.

i think series 8 will be the last mate . I don’t think it should continue either .

I tell you what has aged horrendously, 24... dear god. I remember when first season came out it was seen as groundbreaking TV and I loved it. Well for a laugh I thought id watch a few episodes for first time in many years and dear god is it lame, acting and script are so bad it defies belief. It looks so low budget as well.

TV has come a long friggin way in the past 10-15 years.

The first series does look dated, and the episodes are a bit iffy to start with but it does improve towards the end of it. By the third series it's as polished as any current show. It was the first of it's type and the budget and effects had to stretch in what is in effect 10 full length movies so it was always going to have problems. I do find that series the hardest to watch so my advice would be not to give up it up completely off the back of it.
