Ive only watched 2 eps so far so Im probably jumping the gun a little.
It`s one of the most under rated tv series of all time imo.
Stick with it, as it starts of strongly and just gets better and better.

I’ll defo stick with it . I need to find something similar to the shield and this might be it . Maybe not quite as extreme like .
It`s got more depth than the Shield, as it really focuses on the day to day mundane stuff and petty politics that get in the way.
Plus a few of the characters are leading double lives with regards to stuff like sexualtity, debt etc
This would normally make it dull, but it doesn`t in anyway, as the writing is that good.
Plus, there`s no A listers in it, so you don`t get them following one character more than any other really.
It`s very good mate and I can guarantee you`ll rate it.

The highlighted to me was its downfall popularity wise. They did add some middle of the road young actors who were big on teen shows like the lad from the OC show who now plays Gordon on Gotham and some others like Regina King and Cudlitz who in their own right had done some good shows. But yeah no A listers.
That and it was on NBC in its first year. A channel who try their best to ruin shows good shows and keep stupid reality shows and comedies.
It was also up against some big shows when it moved to TNT in the US. A channel which a lot of people either don't have, don't watch or don't care about.
But i agree it does have more depth than the fantastic show that was the shield.

Yeah there is shaquille o Neill makes a cameo in one episode and Lucy liu is in season 3 or 4 but isn't a particularly strong character
