Seen it getting traction lately but it came out in 2012 or something, what's the hype all of the sudden?

The episodes are unrelated, you can start anywhere. It's like a collection of mini-movies all focused on different ways near-future technology can be used/misused by humans and society. I binged watched all of it over the past day or so.
Its excellent.
The very first episode has a hint of humour, but its not a comedic series. Like others have said, does get quite dark.

Black mirror has been boss since the day it came out years ago. Charlie brooker is a genius.

Watched Marvels 'the gifted' this week and that's alright, nothing amazing but a bit different their usual stuff.

Now watching Marvels 'runaways' which follows suit.

Is there a greater love story than Beecher and Keller? Not in our time.

O'Reilly and Gloria come close but still a way off that true dedication.
