Archer season eight: Dreamland, it's such a shame that this series is ending after season ten because it's just so dam good. At least it's ending on the creators own terms though. This was a brilliant season, hilarious with a great story.

Okkupert (Occupied)
Norwegian series on Netflix about Norway being Occupied by Russia a few years into the future. At times the acting was so bad I had to pause the show to calm down. The camera work/cinematography could also be improved at times (especially showing the woman with the witch nose in profile in almost every scene she's in) and the story failed to capture my interest in the first few episodes. Eventually it got better though, and towards the end it was actually quite exciting. 5/10

Just finished watching season 1 & 2 of Stranger Things on Netflix. Brilliant is the word that comes to mind. If you are an 80s kid like me you will love it.
Finished The Sinner over the weekend - all a bit implausible but rolled along at a decent pace with a good plot. Have started on Ozark now, and I’m impressed. Some similarities with Breaking Bad in terms of its ‘fish out of water’ backdrop. Always liked Jason Bateman too, so expecting to enjoy the series.

You could argue Netflix is mainstream TV nowadays... at least within a certain age demographic
I enjoyed the first film but the TV series is poor from what i've seen. There are much better shows out there. The Wire, Westworld, Fargo, Gomorra, Narcos, Mindhunter, Stranger Things, Black Mirror, Mr Robot, The Night of... watch one of those instead !
