The Sopranos is probably more immediate - the whole story gets going a lot more quickly than The Wire. Both brilliant telly either way.

Firstly, couldn't understand what the frig was going on, if I'm honest. Be arsed trying to figure out who has offended who whilst trying to decipher their rat-a-tat conversations.

Secondly, I only tried watching it last year and it felt really dated. Wasn't digging it.

I don't really care how much other people love it. Good for them. It's just not my cup of tea.

The start of it is the power struggle between Tony and his uncle Junior, to take over as boss of the family.

I'd give it another chance.

If it ain't your thing, though, it ain't your thing. I can't get into Game of Thrones.

Started watching The Crown, have to say it's superb all-round, production, writing and acting. John Lithgow as good as expected, but Jared Harris steals the show in the first episodes imo.

It's a truly excellent production. The drama element is secondary to the many constitutional issues the series addresses.

Helps that Claire Foy and the bird who plays Princess Margaret are super hot.

finished season 2 of fortitude last night and must say i really liked it.i thought the actor who played dan was brillant.

Nearly finished Catastrophe. A thoroughly entertaining comedy with many worrying parallels to my own marriage!

Sharon Horgan's character really is quite detestable at times. Always the sign of a good actor to be convincingly nasty. It's easy being nice.
