My uncle is a Watford STH and says the opposite to you. But to be fair, we could ask fifty different people and we'd probably get fifty different answers - such is the nature of opinions.

I would rather see us loan Giroud in January, and buy Dembele from Celtic in the summer. I just don't see Deeney as a solution to our particular needs.

And that’s a totally fair and proportional response. Dembele has potential. I just worry about prolific players coming from the SPL these days. Let’s not forget Leigh Griffiths couldn’t get in the Wolves team 18 months ago and now he’s like some sort of Scottish Pele. And if you think Wenger will loan Giroud your mad. There is literally no precedent for that happening. Why would Arsenal loan him? With them going well in the league and Sanchez contract etc, absolutely no chance at all he leaves!

Sorry, but we need to find the players between underwhelming like Deeney and unrealistic like Werner. Werner will have suitors from all the big clubs that actually win stuff and go to Champions League regularly. Shouts like that are just dreaming.
