Yeah, pretty much.

They made it legal that year to score directly from a corner cos it used to be you couldn't try it and curl it into the goal, it had to come off another player first. But they didn't say anything about how many touches you could have. So he just dribbled forwards into the box and took a shot.

yep, I edited as I realised you obviously can score from a corner.. the distinction was, in his day, he tried to take it on his own and run with it.
