The point is that putting drug users in prison because they're addicted to drugs does nothing to solve drug crime. Addicts need help, not prison sentences.

It's an absolute failure of society that we let people fall through the cracks and then only decide to do something when they become a problem. If we "nipped it in the bud" and intervened before they end up on drugs or involved in crime it would actually cost less.

The dealers, on the other hand, cause suffering and misery to people and whole communities. They should be pursued with extreme prejudice.

My Australian wife has always wanted to go there. This will be our fourth visit to Britain since 2000 and the shortest one, but I promised her that we'd do it this time. Our daughter is coming too and I just hope it's a nice, sunny day. It has to be sunny and warm at the seaside. Even here!

Since last October I've been to Madeira, Malaga, Budapest, Rome & Porto. My fiance loves to travel (she's been around the world) and gets itchy feet. We've also done trips to Edinburgh & London in between.

We're looking at possibly Florida in October and Dubai next February.

Think I got off lightly earlier this month. No real delay bar waiting an hour for my luggage at Luton on the return leg.
