I know it doesn't seem like it sometimes, but the transfer window doesn't really exist so that Sky, newspapers and footie forums can have exciting things to talk about. Well, it does partly, but mainly it's there for like, err, transfers, and all the noise about stuff which is never going to happen is just that, noise.

Once you come to terms with the fact that we'll be tenously linked with dozens of players each Summer but might actually only sign four or five, tops, then it becomes a lot more bearable and you can concentrate on the really important bits of the Summer, like scantily clad lasses (or lads ), beer and tagging @bizzaro into random posts.

Not sure about others but one thing I've always liked about being an Everton fan - especially under Moyes - is the not knowing or generally having a clue who we're in for but then having it sprung upon us out of nowhere and it's done within a few days. Makes it a lot more enjoyable when it actually comes from nowhere instead of clubs at the higher end of the table broadcasting all their targets allover the internet and newspapers.

Worst one of all is West Ham and their owner and his son going through all their targets, they belong in Italy with Milan & Inter, the disrespect in being so open in who your targets are is ridiculous with clubs like those.

Boro are spending money like its going out of fashion in the Championship. They're now strongly linked with Rickie Lambert!

They're not short of cash, and Gibson is one of their jewels.

Patrick Roberts has joined City for 12 million from Fulham.

It would take even more than that to prise Gibson from Middlesbrough.

Just ain't gonna happen.

Don't know about Moussa but I'd take Mousa Dembele here in an instant, Sunderland the only team linked at the moment and he's far too good for them.
