Transfer Window Summary

You'd hope so.

When it comes to it, despite 'positive' threads like this, even the manager stated what he needed and he didn't get what he needed.

This window was a huge opportunity to send a message of intent - our first real chance since Moshiri first arrived - and we haven't taken it yet again. We're back in our 'plucky little Everton' box taking United cast-offs to plug gaps.

It's a shame, really is. The hope is that Kean is absolutely tremendous now, and the kid shouldn't be on that kind of pressure, but the way we've ballsed up the tail end of this window puts him under the microscope unfairly.

Agree with this part

6/10. We've swapped like for like with largely unproven players, and we've still got a lot of deadwood.

Opportunity missed. Brands massively failed here, we can't shy away from that.

Massively failed? He's picked up some boss players at great prices including one of the best young strikers in Europe.

I remain confident we'll announce a CB tonight or tomorrow. If we missed out on a winger then so be it, not ideal but if I had to pick one position we were after not to fill it would be that.

We've shifted off a load of deadwood and broken about even on it. Did you really think the last 3 years would be solved already?

Football fans are weird.

We lost our engine in midfielder and his replacement we know nothing about.

We're essentially crossing our fingers now. There should have been two or three in today to add depth, so that if we did have another Davy Klaassen situation with Gbamin or whoever, then we'd absorb the hit a bit more.

We definitively haven't done that.

...I quite like the thought of Gbamin. Whilst Gueye was a terrific signing, i’ve thought we’ve lacked real athleticism in that central area for a long time. Gbamin is a different type to Gueye, i’m fascinated to see what difference he makes.

Gbamin might dip, but he was bought by Brands. Klaassen was bought by Walsh.

Big plus for me is Keane, big concern is at CB but the window hasn’t quite shut.

Our strike force consists of a novice 19 year old starlet, DCL who can’t score and Tosun who the manager clearly doesn't want. Oh and Niasse who isn’t even a real footballer.

+ Schneids hopefully.
I don't think it would be wise to do so right now.

I am not convinced about Davies, Delph was unfortunate and hopefully this isn't a recurring thing, Gbamin might need a few weeks to get up to speed.

He'll play Saturday that's for sure.

Well Zaha wouldn't have fixed that and it appears we weren't looking for another striker.

I think my frustration is always lessened when I think about how we did after having what was generally considered a very good window and getting Keane, Sandro, Pickford, Klaassen.

For that reason I'm willing to see how it pans out and how we setup before I'm overly concerned. As I mentioned there's definitely positions we need filling and greater depth in, but lets just see how it goes. Maybe I'm too relaxed about it.

Come on lads. We’ve got to give them time to show us what they’ve got before we climb on their backs.

40 minutes into Crystal Palace should be enough.
